Big Brands Online launched in 2009, and has been selling appliances online ever since. Maree from Everest Holdings Limited purchased Big Brands Online in December 2014, to further build our reputation.
With Maree at the helm, we have aligned with some of New Zealand’s top appliance importers and wholesalers, most of which have been in business for over 20-years. These brands are internationally known and offer strength in design, purpose, reliability and durability.
By combining these brands with our values and pricing philosophy, we’re able to offer Kiwis a range of options to meet their specific budget and style needs. We also have a network of Service Agents throughout New Zealand, along with easy access to parts when required.
We’ve built a great base of happy customers who enjoy choosing from our great range of home appliances matched with excellent service. We build extended care (long after the sale) into everything we do because our customers are the reason we exist and allow us to do what we do. And we want you to be happy.

With a background in business management, and a focus on sales, owning an online retail business seemed a natural progression for Maree.
Maree loves everything to do with business and communication is a key strength of hers. As a business consultant she was hired to help companies through tough periods and put systems and processes in place to help them realize their potential. Big Brands Online is a different proposition for Maree. It’s personal and extra passion-filled.
“I enjoy greeting people, discussing their needs and assisting them to make a decision that best suits their needs. Given that I don't always get to speak with my customers (especially those that buy online without calling us first), I follow up with a personal 'thanks' via email, and confirm their purchase and delivery times, etc. For me, a purchase encompasses the whole journey, not just the sale,” says Maree.
