At Big Brands Online, our relationships mean the world to us. We see our approach as one of our points of difference. We’re large enough to serve you with a great range of home appliances and small enough to care, with after-sales service as important to us as the sale.  

 

By providing hands-on service, even if it is via phone and computer, we’re seen as a refreshing option for people who want and choose from a range of appliance options and great service, from the comfort of their own environments. 

 

Even though we operate an online business – which we think is the way of the future anyway – we stick to all the best parts of a retail business. We're honest in all our dealings, reliable and reputable too, offering manufacturer warranties on everything we sell. If something’s not right, we want to make it right. 

We know that when investing in anything for the home that you need to research to be sure you have the best outcome. We’re not about one-off sales or making a quick buck. If you’re not ready to buy a home appliance now we’re still happy to discuss your options and share our knowledge with you.

BACKGROUND

Big Brands Online launched in 2009, and has been selling appliances online ever since. Maree from Everest Holdings Limited purchased Big Brands Online in December 2014, to further build our reputation.

With Maree at the helm, we have aligned with some of New Zealand’s top appliance importers and wholesalers, most of which have been in business for over 20-years. These brands are internationally known and offer strength in design, purpose, reliability and durability. 

By combining these brands with our values and pricing philosophy, we’re able to offer Kiwis a range of options to meet their specific budget and style needs. We also have a network of Service Agents throughout New Zealand, along with easy access to parts when required.

We’ve built a great base of happy customers who enjoy choosing from our great range of home appliances matched with excellent service. We build extended care (long after the sale) into everything we do because our customers are the reason we exist and allow us to do what we do. And we want you to be happy. 

We’ve upgraded our website to reflect significant changes in the online retail space and make the user experience for our customers a pleasant one. You can easily navigate to the information you seek, by product, brand, price, size, value, etc. Good design makes it a faster, easier and happier process to shop online.

ABOUT MAREE  Owner / Director

With a background in business management, and a focus on sales, owning an online retail business seemed a natural progression for Maree.

Maree loves everything to do with business and communication is a key strength of hers. As a business consultant she was hired to help companies through tough periods and put systems and processes in place to help them realize their potential. Big Brands Online is a different proposition for Maree. It’s personal and extra passion-filled. 

“I enjoy greeting people, discussing their needs and assisting them to make a decision that best suits their needs.  Given that I don't always get to speak with my customers (especially those that buy online without calling us first), I follow up with a personal 'thanks' via email, and confirm their purchase and delivery times, etc. For me, a purchase encompasses the whole journey, not just the sale,” says Maree.

Her philosophy is: Treat customers in a way that you'd like to be treated! Our customers are always welcome to call Maree direct with any feedback or queries.
